Männiku - 90s industrial landscapes!

Männiku is a place with wonderful landscapes. This is true in both good and bad ways - we can find functioning sand quarries that resemble deserts, but also old mining areas that have turned into picturesque lakes. Beautiful forests have been preserved, in contrast to entirely industrial areas. However, as we hike through these evocative landscapes, different stories also unfold before us: the Romanovs' garden suburb, heavy industry, mining, soldiers, gangsters and criminals, and, to top it all off, the story of the 1936 Männiku explosion.
